With every project also come some administrative tasks. That also holds for our AWESCO doctoral training network, which has officially ended in December 2018. I have just finished the final technical report and submitted this to the EU project officer. It describes the exciting and rewarding collaboration with 16 talented Marie Skłodowska Curie fellows and their equally talented supervisors from industry and academia. The project spanned a period of 4 years, starting in 2015, and lead to a major advancement of knowledge on airborne wind energy, especially in the targeted areas of system design, computational modeling, control and optimization. I am attaching to this project update the publishable summary of the report, as a preview for interested readers. Please do not hesitate to provide feedback on this summary, for example, if you have an idea about the impact of the project. This is always difficult to assess for someone who was 100% involved in the project... Note that I can still adjust the report for a few days from now. Also note that although the EU-funding for the project has now ceased, we will continue to collaborate within the created framework.
